Basically, the trip was a dream. It could not have gone more smoothly. From the wonderful traveling companions to the breathtakingly beautiful sights, I just feel really lucky to have been able to visit Japan during this year's spring break.

MONKEY MOUNTAIN!!! That's right. Monkeys. All over the place, doing adorable monkey things. Sometimes scaring us by attacking and apparently trying to eat each other. The climb up the steep mountain was well worth the chance to fraternize right next to these little creatures. They were swinging in trees and chasing down each other, while we snapped tons of photos.
Onsen: The traditional bath of the Japanese, heated with Japan's natural hot springs. We visited an onsen in Hakone, a little lakefront town near Tokyo, with a great view of Fuji. This was probably the most relaxing experience of the trip and a chance to get naked and bath with Japanese strangers, thus authenticating my experience.
Sakuda: Cherry Blossoms. We were actually really really lucky to get to see cherry blossoms in full view during this visit to Japan. The season is still a little early, but on our last day in Tokyo, the Imperial Palace garden was all decked out in beautiful cherry blossoms. It was great to see the city at its proudest, flowery moment.
