The DRC
I just landed in Kinshasa. My first international trip since May. So far - so good. All my flights were great (upgrades!), easy layover, and my suitcase is here too. The drive from airport to hotel was longer than I expected, with almost no lights. I haven't seen Kinshasa by day, but I think it might be different from what I've been expecting too - more modern and developed.

Believe it or not - taking pictures is against Embassy rules (and possibly the law -unclear.) But I if surreptitiously take any, I'll post (esp those of mountain gorillas)
